Natural Sun-Drying
After shaping, tiles are left to dry naturally under the Moroccan sun: no industrial dryers, no excess energy consumption. This ancient step is as effective today as it was a millennium ago.
Traditional Kilns & Hand-Glazing
Our artisans hand-glaze each tile individually before firing in traditional kilns. This process requires no synthetic coatings or chemical accelerants: just skill, time, and natural mineral pigments passed down through generations.
Minimal Waste
Handcrafted production means small batches, intentional making, and far less material waste than industrial tile manufacturing. The 'perfectly imperfect' nature of Zellige is a feature, not a flaw: each tile is unique, and nothing is discarded for cosmetic uniformity.
